Our story began with the remarkable journey of our founder, Alexandra Asman, whose passion for fashion ignited her career in 1987 when she qualified as a fashion designer. After honing her craft in the vibrant fashion scene of Johannesburg and dressing some of the city’s most illustrious personalities, she relocated her studio to Nelspruit, where her entrepreneurial spirit flourished.

In 2008, her vision blossomed into reality with the establishment of Xela College of College, a beacon of creativity and innovation in the heart of Nelspruit. Under her guidance, the college quickly earned acclaim for its commitment to excellence and its unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of fashion leaders.

In 2012, her unwavering commitment to quality was recognized with the prestigious accreditation from City & Guilds, a testament to the college’s adherence to the highest standards of education and training. Not content with resting on her laurels, She expanded the college’s offerings in 2016 with the introduction of an Interior Design course, further enriching the educational experience for our students.
